Tim Burnaman’s debut project sounds like it has been long overdue for this capable pianist and songwriter. Tim works as the assistant music director at Unity Church of Clearwater so if you are a New Thought music director constantly seeking new songs for your service, you’ll find several treasures on Rain Sun Music.
Tim claims his influences range from Debussy to Elton John and you can hear those influences and more as he goes from the light pop opening song, Rain into the classically influenced Blessings Here I See – a great song in or out of meditation or as a contemplative offertory song.
In the Flow of Love gives a positive affirmative message about giving and receiving to a fun, laid back Reggae pad.
Now I Am is a simple piano/vocal that brings the listener into the present moment with the hook line, “Here I am now. Now I Am.”
Love Is My Energy is an up tempo and energetic reminder of the infinite source of power within us.
There’s even a short foray into some classic old blues ala Ain’t Misbehavin’ on How Bout’ the Blues where Tim gets to show off his versatility as a singer.
Then we get some fun and jazzy Calypso about songwriting, on Summer Songs. And an orchestral ballad about carrying on after loss called With Love In My Heart.
Tim closes his debut project with a classic from the Beatles catalog, In My Life.
The bulk of this CD is produced by Daniel Nahmod and has Daniel’s signature vocal arrangements and imaginative production.
Congratulations on a great debut Tim. I for one am anxiously awaiting the follow-up.
