So you’re a thousand miles from anyplace that you wanna be

And, the map you’re holding’s showing nothing but a hard road in between

And, it’s not the road you wanna go down but you know you don’t wanna stay

Cause nothing ever changes when you’re standing in one place.

Anything you ever learn the easy way is hardly worth the knowing

There’s never any shortcut to anyplace that’s ever worth the going

And, the longest journey that you’ll ever tak starts with the first step

And, I guess it never ends until you take your final breath

But, look around, you’re not the only one traveling on this road

And, even when you feel it, you are not alone
