Description
When blending families, one of the most difficult aspects is the blending of traditions surrounding holidays. “New Christmas Tradition” sugggests compromises, and ultimately, that a new Christmas tradition priority is to spend it with you.
A New Christmas Tradition
Your Christmas in Virginia is warmer than some
Colonial windows, bright candles in each one
Magnolia wreathed doorframes, holly berries, and wine
A Williamsburg Christmas would suit me just fine.
Christmas in the Northland is whitened with snow
Children bundled in blankets by fireplace glow
A bright star decorating a white pine Christmas tree
A North Country Christmas is waiting for me.
A church in the city or a church in the wood
The good news of Christmas has timelessly stood
As I stand by your side, a hymnal we share
We’ll celebrate Christmas, it matters not where.
Traditions may come, traditions may go.
Christmas traditions are the best kind I know.
Though some may fade softly, the best never do.
My new Christmas tradition is to spend it with you.
