Don’t Sing The Blues
My life was at a crossroads when I first found NVC
If you’ve been there then you know it’s quite a community
They’re big on transformation through the science of the mind
I had some hesitation but I decided to give it a try
Don’t sing the Blues, ‘Cause there’s a Power you can use
It’s greater than you and me, who’s it callin’, who’s it callin’ you to be?
They told me, You have creative power, in fact you’re creating all the time
Ev’ry minute of ev’ry hour, by default or by design
You shape the world you see through the impress of your thoughts
Well that sounded good to me so I started using what I’d been taught
Don’t sing the Blues, ‘Cause there’s a Power you can use
It’s greater than you and me, who’s it callin’ who’s it callin’ you to be?
Havin’ stuff was really good you know the house, the spouse, the car
I was creatin’ all I could I felt I felt like a rock star
But I got a feelin’ there was more than I had created for myself
It was too strong to ignore so I asked a practitioner for help
Don’t sing the Blues, ‘Cause there’s a Power you can use
It’s greater than you and me, who’s it callin’, who’s it callin’ you to be?
She said there’s nothing’ wrong with manifestation it can be a lot of fun
But to experience transformation you can’t just do, you must become
The person that you are, the human that you’re being
Is a greater prize by far, it’s more important than the things
Don’t sing the Blues, ‘Cause there’s a Power you can use
It’s greater than you and me, who’s it callin’, who’s it callin’ you to be?
I said, Don’t sing the Blues, ‘Cause there’s a Power you can use
It’s greater than you and me, who’s it callin’, who’s it callin’ you to be?
You know It’s greater than you and me, who’s it callin’
who’s it callin’ you to be?
who’s it callin’ you to be?
