About Me
I began performing in public around 1969 at rallies and benefits. I play guitar, banjo, ukulele and some mt dulcimer. I had my own business teaching Music Together classes for 10 years, before returning to working in public libraries and schools. I teach weekly children’s music and movement classes for infants – 5 yrs old and their caregivers. I also have an all-female trio, Roben Kosek Jazz and Blues (rkjazzandblues.com) playing and singing jazz and blues, some French, Spanish and Portuguese songs from the 1920’s – 1960’s, as well as a few more contemporary selections. I have 3 professional recordings of music. “Terri & Maria”, (1982) a mix of original and cover songs, “Riverwalk & Other Songs”, (1990) a mostly original collection of children’s/family music, and “The Path We Make” (2008) a recording of mostly original adult contemporary folk selections. Singing and music has always been a part of my everyday life.
