About Me
While many musicians seek personal fame and fortune, Someone’s Sister hopes to give their money away while directing the spotlight onto child abuse prevention.
Inspired by events in Georgia Winfree’s life, Someone’s Sister set out in 2004 to put their music and message of child abuse prevention into motion. They began by following the words of the peace activist, Gandhi with his quote “You must be the change you wish to see in the world”. They put into place a financial plan patterened after the concept used by Benjamin Franklin in his will.

Someone’s Sister: The Music
….. lyrics inpired by words from our local newspaper. This song is on our second Cd – “Calm in the Chaos”
“Because They’re Out There”
Headlines said she was found dead
In a motel room all alone
They all gathered’ round at the funeral
Amid the whispers and the gossip
Of “it’s such a shame”.
Unspeakable acts never leave a heart
Unspeakable acts will steal your life
She was six years old on the school bus
She looked just like all the other kids
Nobody know the shame she was hiding
Cause daddy never meant to hit so hard
We’re here now because they’re out there
We’re here now because they cry
We’re here now because they’re out there
We’re here now because they die
Married at eighteen just out of high school
A good man to provide everything she needs
Heard she went to work one day with bruises
Those things denial and makeup cannot hide
Inside the walls the screaming, battered and bleeding
But the neighbors did not want to get involved.
Where were you when she cried?
Where were you when she died?
Where were you on all those lonely nights?
We’re here now because they’re out there
We’re here now because they cry
We’re here now because they’re out there
We’re here now because they die
