About Me
Artist/drummer/singer/writer Dee Boman finds her creative inspiration from the desert oasis around her. Venturing occasionally to other beaches, mesas,and valley vistas, it is the peace and presence of nature’s world of sacred simplicity that brings the greatest joy. Her works seek to honor and revere both Earth and Cosmos … and to find a balance between … Dee blends Ancient Mysteries, Current Geologies and Evolving Cosmologies in the images she creates … on canvas and in words and sound. ABBA-AMA ALOHA chant was recorded using a hand-crafted ancient Aztec drum (patterned after the Teponaztli) – utilizing pre-recorded water sounds from T or C Riverbend Hot Springs Spa fountain pools and waterfalls – with background accompaniment of the Rio Grande.
