About Me
Professor Emeritus in Studio Art, Design, and Art History from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, in his other life as a singer/songwriter, Dr. Tomhave is a multi-award finalist singer/songwriter in the EmPower Music & Arts Posi Awards, the Appalachian Trail- MyATstory Contest, the Great American Song Competition, the International Indie Awards, the MidAtlantic Songwriting Competition, the Unsigned Only Music Competition, and the USA Songwriting Competition, among others. Roger is proud and honored to be a part of so many co-writing opportunities created by EmPower Music and Arts, and counts among his co-writing partners from the tribe: Melinda Wood Allen, Robert Anderson, Claudia Carawan, Jazz Christianson, Jan Garrett, Dan Johnson, Anji Kat, Tom Kimmel, J.D. Martin, Richard Mekdeci, Sky Nelson, Harold Payne, Sue K. Riley, Glen Roethel, and wife and songwriting partner, Carole Tomhave. He has published Let There Be Light, a songbook of 20 original songs, as well as CDs and digital recording projects, Now I Begin, Let There Be Light, and Homemade and Handed Down.
