Susie Davies-Splitter & Phil Splitter –
Susie is an accomplished musician and composer, jazz musician and music and movement educator and has recently completed her Masters in Music Education at Melbourne University.
Although Phil doesn’t have formal qualifications, according to his business card he does hold a ‘Bachelor of Hearts with a Degree of Humour’. He has been composing and performing since an early age, playing guitar and percussion, as well as singing in many bands. Phil is also an accomplished entertainer, motivational speaker and humourist, script and songwriter as well as a dynamic and high calibre MC.
Together Susie and Phil have performed as a duo and in many Jewish function bands over the years, singing songs of all genres – jazz, hebrew, folk, pop and many more. They have also recorded more than 200 original songs and although they all have a fundamental educational basis, the emphasis is firmly on promoting health and well being, joy, self expression and ‘fun’ for people of all ages.
Susie and Phil have received numerous awards for their song writing in Australia and around the world and their vision is to spread the word to children and adults that singing, moving, dancing, playing and creating music is good for the heart, for the soul, the body and the mind and that everyone, regardless of age and ability can enjoy music!
